Ferrite materials have been widely used for cores of motors and magnetic drums owing to an excellent magnetic property. They are manufactured by two processes, a forming and a sintering process. The sintering process not only leads to a shrinkage of the material but also is unable to produce the uniform density required for the forming process. Typically the additional machining processes are necessary for the complex shaped workpiece after sintering, because only sintering process is not suitable for attaining desired shapes and dimensions.
