The paper presents a preliminary study on belt centerless grinding of alumina using diamond abrasive belts. The purpose is to assess the feasibility and efficiency of the process. The results strongly indicate that high removal rates can be obtained by belt centerless grinding of alumina using diamond belts. The linear relationships between the work parameters and the analyzed parameters are very strong with an average sample coefficient of determination above 0.96.
