The use of PTFE (Teflon) alloys in the form of a bondable tape is a technology that was introduced nearly 30 years ago. This tape material is bonded between the two moving surfaces or guide ways, on the X, Y, and Z axis of the machine. The main purpose of this product is to eliminate stiction, prevent metal to metal galling, reduce wear and to act as a self lubricating surface should there be a complete lubrication failure in the machine.
