IN THIS WORK, THE CUTKOSKY PLANAR GRASP HAS BEEN MODELLED BY A THREE-LINK MECHANISM AND ANALYZED, BASED ON ELASTIC STABILITY THEORY. BASED ON THIS STUDY, TWO BUCKLING MODES OF THE MODEL, NAMELY A SYMMETRIC MODE AND AN ANTISYMMETRIC MODE, HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED. IN THE SYMMETRIC BUCKLING MODE THE DISTURBING TORQUES OPPOSE EACH OTHER AND NO OBJECT STABILITY FAILURE IS POSSIBLE. THE ANTISYMMETRIC MODE, HOWEVER, IS THE ONE THAT DETERMINES THE GRASP OBJECT STABILITY FAILURE.
