SSPC Guide 6

SSPC-Guide 6 establishes various sets of criteria for containment structures used in field surface preparation and coating projects, depending upon the method of surface preparation being used and the degree to which emissions must be contained. Requirements for construction materials, and basic ventilation requirements are included for each class. The owner or specifier can use the tables and descriptions provided to select requirements for a specific class of containment structure based on project needs. The contractor then uses the same tables to review the basic criteria for the specified containment class, saving both contractors and specifiers a great deal of time.
