Alcohol C12-14 ethoxylated is a mixture of alcohol ethoxylates (AEs) with the number of carbon units ranging from 12-14. The family of AE is composed of compounds that differ in chain length with respect to the number of carbon units and the number of ethylene oxide units. The physical properties of alcohol ethoxylates are determined by the length of the chain and the number of ethylene oxide (EO) chains attached to the alcohol. Commercial alcohol ethoxylates are produced as a solid, paste, or solution. Alcohol ethoxylates are widely used surfactants in household, industrial, and institutional cleaners, cosmetics, agriculture, and paper and textile industries (HERA 2009).
