This method is for determining benzene, toluene and total C8 aromatics in stabilized liquid hydrocarbons. Total C9 and heavier (C9 +) aromatics are determined as a composite in samples where non-aromatic hydrocarbons do not interfere. Typically, interference is caused by C13 and heavier non-aromatic hydrocarbons. The range of detection for a single component is 0.05 to 80 vol-%. Total aromatics may not exceed 80 vol-%.
